  1. Are you on Facebook?

Your software is definitely a big part of my sticking with Linux as a music platform. I’m very very appreciative.

I am so excited to have built Arch from kernel up and then creating a hybrid OS with i3 as the base and then going through the software only recently available to build a super-meta-modular system! This is kind of what I’ve been dreaming of for a while.

I’m a serious artist– I’ve done some great things! And I have a lot of connections which you might quietly want to exploit. Only the good people though. Screw talented people who aren’t at least civil, haha.

Serious artist… full of pretense… but not a serious person! Well, okay, I’m that too. But some people think I’m kind of fun. I guess it all depends. I’m sure you know what I mean.

    :)

Anyway, look me up if you want. Always love to be friends with someone doing cool things that may not be mainstream but are still really important.

P.S. I’m having a time of it with getting Ingen to work with Arch. I’m still a bit nooby with this stuff. I’m more of a technician in the aural and conceptual realm. But I’m definitely interested in the process, as well (you guys that actually get into the programming win the prize though– I think it’s an underappreciated art form in itself). Maybe I’ll tell you what’s going on if you want to write back. Your stuff is pretty much in the center with a few other programs, so I might give you a fresh perspective from the “end-user” experience? I dunno. Is this stuff a big priority for you? Your software is fantastic, so I hope it’s been successful!

    • Thanks, I appreciate it.

Definitely interested in learning about and fixing problems. A large part of the reason Ingen still isn’t released is a lack of serious users to test it and provide feedback (bit of a chicken and egg problem, I know, but I don’t want to make a half-assed release). Testing thing out, giving user-perspective feedback, making examples, and so on, would definitely be helpful.

This isn’t really an appropriate place for that stuff, though. Straight-up bugs / feature requests are best filed in the tracker: http://dev.drobilla.net/

For discussion, there’s the Ingen mailing list: http://lists.drobilla.net/listinfo.cgi/ingen-drobilla.net

Also #ingen on irc.freenode.net where I can generally be found. You can also just email me personally if you prefer. Cheers.
